When the weather improves (or maybe not, because we could be waiting a long time), we should plan a field trip to this remarkable spot in Clayoquot Sound.
What do you think? We could get a little flotilla together or perhaps charter a boat. Let me know if you're keen.
This place looks beautiful, magical!! The TCFI were actually dreaming up an edible garden tour by boat to visit all the amazing gardens out there on islands, floathomes and up the inlet. Although it may take more planning than we can do this year, it is in our back pocket for another time.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely be keen to visit sooner than later though!!
Been there, and it's really inspring to see what can be grown on the coast basically in pots. There are charter companies (browning passage I believe mike white) who go up there with people. makes a day trip. I'd go again, and Catherine and Wayne are always so welcoming. And the tour itself is cheap it was just $5.00 a head to see the gardens.
ReplyDeleteWe have a boat that would take 6-8 people, all we would need is a bit of $ to cover the gas. I went last year and it is truly amazing! Perhaps something to plan for July?
ReplyDeleteoops back track on the cost to see the gardens there is no charge, except for the charter boat.
ReplyDeleteWe have a boat as well - will hold about 4. Mike White's "Party Boat" (?) is a good option, too. But I like the flotilla idea, with stops at other gardens. (Miriam's, for instance.) Let's think more about it after the strawberry tea.
ReplyDeleteI'd be keen to join 'the flotilla' for sure. Have always meant to go out for a visit. Inspiration is good! Thanks...
ReplyDeletecheers,
Jen
